Victory Christian Centre is committed to reaching our community and making a difference. The following are community initiatives we are currently involved in.

BIBLES IN SCHOOLS

Operated by the Churches Education Commission, this ministry provides Christian teaching in primary schools. This is a great opportunity to ‘sow’ into the lives of the children of our region with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For some children this will be the first time they learn of the love of God and His plan of salvation.

STREET EVANGELISM

Every month a team goes out to share the Gospel. Using proven tools we share in a non - confronting yet powerful way, God's plan of salvation. Full training is given to anyone wanting to participate in this ministry.

CHRISTIANS AGAINST POVERTY CENTRE (CAP)

CAP NZ works with local church-based centres to practically demonstrate the love of God through a professional debt-counselling service. Community response to the CAP solution invites CAP workers from within the church into the lives of the needy and oppressed, enabling opportunity to share the Gospel as well as provide a proven solution to debt problems. This is an exciting community initiative, helping people in real need.

DRUG ARM

Working with other Christians, this ministry reaches out to the less fortunate, especially those struggling with addictions. Drug Arm generally operates on Friday and Saturday nights out of a van equipped with basic supplies, hot drinks etc.

RETIREMENT HOME AND HOSPITAL MINISTRY

We are currently working with two organisations providing chapliancy, visitation and practicle assistance by way of monthly working bees.

We run the following courses for our community on an as needs:

ALPHA COURSE – DVD COURSE

Alpha is a 10 week DVD-based course that presents the foundational truths of Christianity. The course is run in a relaxed environment with food provided and with informal group discussions. Ideal for anyone wanting to explore the Christian faith.

DIVORCECARE – DVD COURSE

An excellent DVD-based course for those dealing with the effects of a separation or divorce.

CHILDWISE – DVD COURSES

Parenting skills is one of the main needs of our community. We have a range of courses that present Christian based principals that will help parents in practical ways
